Scholarship Overview
The Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), is offering 120 fully funded graduate scholarships to young African professionals, running from 2025 to 2030. This two-year master’s program focuses on sustainable innovation and technology, preparing students for leadership roles in the digital economy. For the 2025/2026 academic year, 30 scholarships are available, covering all expenses including tuition, accommodation, and more. Participants will gain leadership training, mentorship, and access to campus work opportunities. The program also includes a two-month internship in Africa between the first and second year, encouraging students to return home and contribute to their communities, with a particular focus on supporting women, refugees, and individuals with disabilities.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the ASU Mastercard Foundation Innovation and Technology Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a citizen of an African country committed to ethical leadership and community engagement.
- Must be between 18 and 33 years old as of the application deadline.
- Must demonstrate academic excellence and leadership in their community.
- Should have completed an undergraduate degree by July 2025.
- Should not have begun or completed any other graduate or master’s degree before August 2025.
- Must qualify for admission to their chosen degree, including meeting English proficiency requirements.
- Must be willing to reside in Phoenix, Arizona, for the duration of the program.
