Como empezó el cristianismo

The history of the cristiano religión and the Christian church began with Jesus and his apostles. El cristianismo es la religión que se basa en el nacimiento, vida, muerte, resurrección y enseñanza de Jesucristo.

Christianity began in the 1st century AD after Jesus died as a Jewish sect en Judea but quickly spread throughout the Roman empire. Despite early persecution of Christians, it later became the state religion. En el Middle Ages it spread into Northern Europe and Russia. Durante el Age of Exploration, Christianity expanded throughout the world; it is currently the largest religion of the world.

The religion had schisms y theological disputes that had as result four main branches: la Roman Catholic Church, la Eastern Orthodox churches, Oriental Orthodoxy y Protestant churches.

Most of the first Christians were étnicamente Jewish or Jewish proselytes. An early difficulty came from non-Jewish converts. There was the question if they had tobecome Jewishbefore becoming Christian. The decision of S t. Peter, was that they did not, and the matter was further addressed with the Council of Jerusalem.

The doctrines of the apostles brought the Early Church into conflict with some Jewish religious authorities, and this eventually led to the martyrdom of SS. Esteban y James the Great and expulsion from the synagogues. Así, Christianity got an identity distinct from Judaism. El nombre “cristiano” (Greek Χριστιανός) was first used for the disciples en Antioch, as recorded in (Hechos 11:26; Hechos 11:26)
