How To Edit APN Settings On iPhone

Question

The access point name (APN) defines the network path for all mobile data connections. Some network operators require you to enter your APN settings to set up your mobile service.

iPhone APN Settings

If your network provider allows it, you can view your APN settings in one of the following locations:

* Settings > Cellular> Mobile Data Options > Cellular Data.

OR

* Settings > Mobile data > Mobile data options > Mobile data network.

If your device does not have any of these options, contact your network operator.

To change your settings, tap each field and enter your provider’s details.

The settings should be saved automatically. Depending on your network operator, you may not be able to change the mobile data network settings.

If your network operator requires a different APN setting, you may be able to use a configuration profile with the correct setting.

If you do not use a configuration profile, updating iOS will reset any changes to your APN settings.

If you edit your APN settings before updating iOS, your settings will be reset to the default values.

You may need to re-enter your settings after an iOS update.

And that’s all.
